I am reading the most wonderful biblestudy called “Space for God” by Postema. He writes, ” We are God’s work of art. We are being created and recreated by the saving touch of Christ, who, Van Gogh said, “is more of an artist than the artists,” who working in living flesh and living spirit, made living people, instead of statues! We too become artists as we come to know our Creator more intimately. Matthew Fox says it so strongly: “There is no distinction between the artist and the person who has experienced God. No experiencer of God is not an artist.” I like that. I am often challenged by Chris to ask my closest friends (and random people for that matter) how I can use my gifts to help them. Chris has the most genuine heart….he truly wants to make everyone’s dreams come true. I love when I can use the gifts that God has given to me to benefit someone else…..But I need to do it more. Since I have met Chris he has challenged me in a million ways to be the person God has set out for me to be. He doesnt just say it though…he truly lives it. I have been constantly amazed since I have known him for the way he views the world. I see everything so differently now. He shows me how to live for something greater.
I want to be more in love with Jesus everyday. Married couples often say that you have to keep falling in love. I believe that to be true, but I also believe that you have to constantly be falling in love with Jesus. I need to daily try and imitate Him. The best thing I can do for my husband and my Aiden is to fall in love with Jesus daily. My favorite book, A Beautiful Offering, that I always talk about says this: “Do you realize what the blessing of your hunger will be? A life free of guilt and sin. A life devoted to the teachings of Christ. A life that reflects the grace and mercy of a loving God. They say that when you fall in love, the two of you begin to look alike. May it be so. Oh, sweet Jesus, may it be.”

on a side note… I love being a mom so much…words can’t describe how much I love and adore our little guy. He brings us so much joy…from the moment he wakes up he is smiling and bringing me constant love throughout the day…..
