Well, I know all doctors are different but my doc wanted Aiden to eat baby food from 6-9 months and then from 9 months on eat what we are eating, big people food! WELL....this has changed my kitchen habits to say the least. I am trying to cook every day or night even if some meals are more elaborate than others. I mean I can't let the child eat pizza rolls.... SO in honor of my new cooking habits I thought Id share a recipe! My boys love this!
1 8 oz lasagna noodles
1 lb ground beef
1 32oz ragu
1 16 oz carton cottage cheese
12 pieces american cheese
parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top
brown sugar to add to sauce
Brown Meat, Add Ragu and 1/2 cup of water (I actually never add a whole 1/2 cup...add a little less). Add Brown Sugar (as much as you want :) Simmer 10 minutes
1. Put small amount of sauce in 9x13 pan
2. arrange layer of raw noodles from box
3. spread with 1/2 of cottage cheese
4. put on 1/2 of american cheese slices
5. Repeat Layers
Then pour rest of the sauce on top & sprinkle with parmesan cheese. cover with foil.
Bake One Hour. 350 degrees. Let stand 10 minutes. Enjoy!
