I recently had the opportunity to travel to Eastern Africa to the country of Ethiopia to shoot a bit. I was so excited to go back to Africa and get to experience the amazing people and once again be reminded of how blessed I am.
I had such a great time capturing some incredible moments as well as taking in God's creation.

Oh steal my heart! So beautiful! What a gift to be able to share! I especially love the woman down on her knee.
ReplyDeleteWow Casey, those are truly amazing! My favorite is the woman kneeling down. I don't know if she is a mother but all I could think when looking at her is, here we are, two women a world a part, who probably both want the same thing for our families and are both loved by the one true God. Thanks for sharing these!
ReplyDeleteJami... love your comment. And Chris, those portraits are breathtaking. Welcome home!

ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous! He is very talented....we brought our baby boy home from Ethiopia last December and these pictures made me well up. It reminded me just how blessed we are to have one of those sweet souls as a part of our family. With little or nothing in the eyes of the world, and yet those gorgeous, proud eyes and caramel skin. Thanks for the photo reminder.....
ReplyDeletewould he, by any chance, be selling a copy of any of the landscapes? I'd love to put a collection of landscape pics together in my sons room. Perhaps to benefit an adoption...of your own sweet Ethiopian? :P Anyway....please let me know if buying any of those is ever an option!
Thanks for the reminder. I think I'll go kiss his sleeping forehead.
Marissa

ReplyDeleteGreat one! Purple sky shows the real beauty of nature. I love it.
ReplyDeleteExquisite photographs! It is true that sometimes we need to go somewhere else for a while to realize how blessed and fortunate we are, because we certainly take so much granted. My husband and I have both been to Honduras on mission trips and it really does make you stop and think about so much - we are truly rich and we don't even realize it.
