Who doesn’t love food and art?!
Here is a fun post with a mix of the two!!
my art and a new recipe!

I am so so excited to bring you a recipe again today from Erin of Sunshine & Carousels
I asked her team.up with me on a little project…
since I am not so good in the kitchen/ DIY area and she is AMA.ZING….(not only does she create incredible things but her presentation is BEAUTIFUL), I have asked her to help me out in these areas! Hooray! She is truly an inspiration with all of her creativity…it makes my heart skip! So today she is bringing you this fabulous recipe!
**********************************

Today’s Magic Mocktail recipe is more of a smoothie than a drink but equally delicious I assure you. Also…it’s really healthy. Penelope, Josh and I named it Monster Mash.
You need this:

Fresh Blueberries and/or Blackberries 2/3 a small package…actually 1/3 of each kind)
Fresh Strawberries (I used 10)
2 1/4 cups Fresh Orange Juice (I used simply orange brand)
2 scoops Frozen Vanilla Yogurt
OR Ice and regular vanilla yogurt

Using a blender or food processor mix up your strawberries and a splash of orange juice. Poor into a bowl or large cup and set aside. Now throw your blueberries and/or your blackberries right into the same container you blended your strawberries in. When you are done pureeing your berries pour your blackberry mixture right down into the bottom of your glasses. Next layer on your strawberry puree with a spoon into your glasses right on top of you blackberry mixture.  Clean your blender and add 2 1/4 cups of orange juice and 2 scoops of frozen  yogurt (or the alternative) and blend until smooth and thick. May need to add additional yogurt to thicken up if need, or a few ice cubes. Spoon this mixture right on top of your berry mixture in your glasses to give it a layered and marbled look.

I used black sugar sprinkles on the rim of our cups to be extra fun. (this recipe made three small smoothies)

This drink kind of tastes like an Orange Julius shake/smoothie whatever they are. I had one like once ever but that’s what I remember it tasting like. It’s good, that’s all that matters right?
Enjoy!!

beautiful work! i read your post on fear and thought you should know you seem to be doing a wonderful job with your kids. i know, i personally, can be consumed by that sort of fear among other things and have to really keep it in check. you are doing the right thing taking those experiences and applying them to the safe loving environment you give your kids.
