a lifestyle blog about motherhood, intention, whimsical moments, and wellness
a few things.
Today my friend Toby tweeted this:
“Your mess becomes your ministry,
your trial becomes your testimony.”
I adore this.
I had to write it down so that I had it saved in my memory.
There is so much hope in this.
also,
Recognize that studio or little boy?
Yes! It is A Little Artsy and sweet Aiden napping :). Kristen of Kristen Rae Photography took these studio pics awhile back and they are being featured in Studio Magazine! We are honored to be in it and to have made the cover!
I wanted to talk about “on your heart” Friday.
I started this link up awhile back for everyone to link up what was on their heart. A place where women could connect, build relationships, pray for each other, make friends, etc. What are your thoughts on “on your heart” Friday? Do you like just leaving your link in the comments? Do you prefer “linking up”? I would love to know your thoughts as I reevaluate things for this space!!
As far as anything else… I feel short on words tonight. Chris and I have this thing… we say “I ran out of words”… it’s a way of saying I don’t have much to say. But it’s code for: don’t read into this, I am not sad and I dont have a heavy heart….” I just simply have run out of words.” It’s a free pass to just be silent.
So for tonight…. I have run out of words. But I have a full heart.
I always leave your blog feeling so inspired and so refreshed. You have a true gift. I liked the linky because I never had to worry I was skipping over someone's post.
I prefer the link up. My blog is not on blogger, and the way you have your comments set up would make it hard for people to simply click a link to come visit me! π I also like seeing all the cute blog buttons.
Love your blog!!! I'm brazilian, but live in Manhattan Beach, CA….and I also started a blog since I moved here (almost 7 months)….hope you can read sometime (it's in portuguese, rsrsrs) but you can see my pics. http://www.minha-jangada.blogspot.com XOXO

What an awesome thing: Magazine cover. Sometimes it's good to be out of words. Gives you time to rejuvenate your mind. And for the "on your heart". I miss it! Looked forward to it every friday! π
Congrats on all that is going on in your blessed lives!! So excited for you all!! I also say that, I ran out of words! I would love to link up and meet some new ladies, share, etc. Glad to stop by, it has been a while!
I looooove that quote you posted at the beginning. Ive already shared it with a friend going through a difficult time. You're right, SO much hope in it! And…I adore the "I have ran out of words" Life really is like that sometimes, huh? Have a beautiful weekend.
Hey Casey, Congrats on making the magazine cover! So fun. And I love that quote. My pastor once said a similar thing: "your testimony will become your place of ministry."
Every single time I read your blog I leave with a happy heart. You have a way about you, your life, your writing, your ability to share who you are that inspires me to love bigger and better, as I'm sure it inspires others to do the same. With love friend!
Every single time I read your blog I leave with a happy heart. You have a way of inspiring others, you share who you are and you don' apologize for that. I hope your heart remains full!! with love friend!
Oh wow love that magazine cover. Love that saying, "I ran out of words." I should use that more often π As far as on your heart if it's too much for you to do a link up don't do it or take a break for awhile. But if it's something you love I'd say keep it on the blog because it's easier to see other's blogs than looking through the comments but that's just me π
Even with just simple words like that, you still inspire me and im sure a lot of others too..Such a great saying. The front cover of the magazine is amazing, congratulations.xxMaria:)
Congrats on a well deserved magazine cover! I will have to remember the "out of words". Sometimes when this very chatty girl is quiet, those around me worry. Free pass. Love it! You inspire me, Casey. You inspire me to let free the sensitive, feeling, complicated me that I am π Thank you
i would prefer the link up. I am not on blogger and some networks that I have to used block blogger comments for some reason. So, for me, the link up is easier π
I LOVE the "I ran out of words" totally using that. My husband and I seem to get into that situation every once in a while and I never know how to tell him I'm not mad, he and I are good I just don't have anything to say. Thanks π
Casey, once again your simply put genuine words strike a cord in my heart. Thanks for making me feel like I'm not alone in the pursuit to grow in acceptance of self and in the growth of faith. Thank you, friend.
My thoughts on "on your heart" Friday…Sometimes I fear that I won't be brave enough for this faith I profess. That I won't be brave enough to pursue him in struggles and follow him wherever He calls. I pray I'm not alone in this.
Thanks for sharing "your mess becomes your minisry." I was actually in the middle of writing a post entitled "A Beautiful Mess." God is so good. I would love to do the linkup! -Allison sweatpantshighheels.blogspot.com
Awesome quote. I feel that way about being diagnosed with Crohn's disease right after my husband and I got married at a young age, and all the battles we've dealt with since. All of it has really become my testimony. Oh, and I guess I'm one of those types who doesn't usually "run out of words" so I don't say that very often, haha! My husband definitely does, but not me. I wish my brain would just run out of thoughts sometimes! π
I love these pictures. I enjoy reading your thoughts and always am inspired by how elequently you put into words things that I too feel. I have always considered sharing my thoughts more with my blog readers but have been afraid that thats not what they come there to see. Your blog is an inspiration!

I love the linkup! Mostly because praying and having open conversation about what is going on sounds wonderful to me.
