we were on tv

Hilary, a good friend of ours, called me a few weeks ago and asked if I would be interested in coming onto a local TV station and doing a quick 4 minute art project with her...I said yes and decided to bring Aiden along to help with the handprint project!

We arrived an hour early and set up all of the supplies... then went on about half way through the show and I was so nervous!! I think if we ever do it again I will feel a little less afraid now that I have done it once!
hopefully?!

It was live tv and Aiden made everyone laugh because he wanted to watch himself on the screen the whole time! He was so adorable.
I was so so proud of him, he did fabulous!

It was a fun experience and they even asked us to come back and do another one soon! So, here are a few pics from today :).
I had to include that last one... can you believe how much Apple is growing?!

**I wasn't going to include the link because I feel a little silly and a tiny bit embarrassed but here it is anyways. click here.

  3. Casey! That is so cool! This may be super weird, but I am always so excited to hear what blogger's voices sound like- it just makes them seem so much more real. How fun that we've seen you (and Aiden) ON CAMERA! :) Rejoicing with those who rejoice tonight. Congrats! :)

  9. How fun is that!?! And yes Apple is growing so quickly, I have had my hands so full with the baby I haven't had time to keep up with my blog reading. 3 months is fast approaching! They don't look like newborns anymore, they look like little gerber babies!

  11. This is awesome! Very cute idea.

PS, I have a slight obsession with hearing my fave blogger's voices. Is that just me? You have a little Texas accent. Don't know why I didn't think you would, seeing that you are from Dallas and all, lol. You seem even sweeter in person!

  23. You were amazing! Seriously so natural on tv. I'd like to know how you get the background to look like that- multi colored and textured?

  24. This is really cute idea for Christmas presents!! I am wondering what you used for the background texture? I took a painting class in college, but that was 10 yrs. and 3 kids ago so I can't remember- is it gesso or some other kind of heavy medium?? I love art projects with the kids. :) I don't think they get enough exposure at school.
