I'm writing this post on the flight home yet by the time I post, I will most likely be home snuggled in with all three babies by my side. I have so much to say about this experience yet am still processing through the whirlwind of this past week! The night before I was going to be on the show I was just sick with nerves and Chris sat me down and said, " Case. What are you so afraid of? Look at all the support you have around you. And if you're goal is to honor & please God then you can't lose, it doesn't matter what people think." He put on some soft music ( from his phone) while we talked and then he took me ice skating in Central Park. It couldn't have been a more magical evening....Christmas in New York City. Staying in a nice hotel that NBC provided. It was all a gift.
We ice skated with the glow of Christmas lights and the city buildings behind us. We ate dinner in the city and even stopped by Toys R Us to get a quick video of the huge dino there for Aiden.
I'm so thankful to my parents who watched Aiden and Ainsleigh and to Chris' mom for keeping Apple. I'm grateful for all the love and support that you have shown me and my family. I'm forever thankful for the opportunity and all of the opportunities this has lead to.
I just feel incredibly undeserving & humbled and grateful. Truly. Just for all the kindness.
New York City at Christmas is breathtaking. The lights, the people- it's like stepping into another world.
I talked to Aiden yesterday morning on the phone and while I know he was a having a blast at meme & poppies and receiving an outpouring of love.... I could hear in his voice that he needed him mama home. Home is where I belong. So now I am off to snuggle these babies.
** I was prepared to answer 5 questions for the show but the time got cut really short on air...so I am going to answer them here this week in case anyone is interested!
Happy weekend! xoxo
Oh and " on your heart linkup" will be back next Friday!

I saw you. It took me a couple of seconds to realize it was you. They are always in a hurry.....they need to give everyone the same amount of time. You looked so nice and did well.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely loved your segment! I wish it had been longer, but I'm glad you'll be answering the questions here, because I'd love to hear more!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you got to visit NYC at Christmastime! I'm sure it was beautiful. It sounds like you had a fabulous time!

ReplyDeleteSooo good Casey. You didn't seem nervous at all. I'm so glad you two enjoyed your time there. Memories for a lifetime!
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for a few months now and I've really come to love it. I recently started writing myself and as I came across a journal entry of a TED talk that I wanted to write about, I thought it would be something that you would love. When I heard the talk, I was pregnant with my first child. I thought I was having a girl, so I wrote out each word of the talk for her to read some day. I had a little boy, but I'll save the journal entry for any little girls in my future:) It's called "B" by Sarah Kay.

'thought of you a ton over the past few days.
ReplyDelete'thought about what that moment must have felt like, from the inside.
'thought "I hope she knows just how many hearts are cheering on her sweet soul, from the outside".
I didn't get to see it but know that no matter how it went you have already inspired so many to live more creative and true lives.
You are already relevant and important and good enough... to us.
Cheers to you and your courage.
xo,
Nicole
Casey! So excited FOR you. God is blessing you and your hard work and you are accepting it so humbly and graciously...very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteCasey, you are soooo deserving!
ReplyDeleteIt's my humble opinion but I'm sure many people agree :)
All the effort and passion and time you put into inspiring others will keep paying off, of that I'm sure.
Always follow your heart and know you can't go wrong if you "try to please God" (as a wise man told you :)).

Oana
