Snow Day.

We had the craziest ever snow/ice storm hit here on Friday… Texas people are not used to this!! On Friday we were without power the entire day but it was back on Friday evening and then stayed on the rest of the time. Schools here have been closed Friday- today and I haven’t left the house once except to walk to the park with the kiddos for some snow play! The snow was absolutely beautiful/magical and the kids absolutely adored it! It has been so sweet and nice to have all of this time at home with nowhere to be… snowstorms, you are welcome here anytime!

Your children are beautiful, and those cheeks! I'm sure you can't stop squeezing and kissing them. This is my first year living in the Dallas area; I'm from Utah, so this last snow storm made me feel back at home in Utah. Fresh snow is beautiful!

  3. Awww, Casey…thank you for sharing. This so warmed my heart! We too are cold weather people living in the Midwest and it was adorable to watch you enjoy it so much! I was drawn to this stunning photo of Ainsleigh on Pinterest and so glad I clicked to see these precious photos! Enjoy friend!!

  10. We have been trapped inside since Thursday night…my little guy is a bit too small to get out and play, so we are going crazy over here! Even though it is definitely beautiful to look at, I have to say I'm ready for the ice to be gone! The snow can come back whenever it wants though 🙂

Just discovered your blog and I must say, I am in love. I love your candor and rawness, I'm a "new" mom and new blogger; The Wiegands makes me feel that I am not alone in this journey of motherhood. I love that you love God in a world where spirituality is unfashionable.

Beautiful photos! I am in love with the knit hat both your daughters were wearing!! Living in Ottawa, Canada we can have snowstorms several times a week and sometimes they are a pain- but mostly I think they are magical too, even though I am used to them.

Beautiful photos and memories! I love the way you are able to capture the beauty and truth of your family — never posed, never forced, just purely blessed moments of happiness and love. I too am loving the snow, currently curled up in a small coffee shop in Ann Arbor, MI watching the snow fall down outside… wishing it would fall down a little faster so I could put on my gloves and start throwing some snow balls!
