hurting.

 photo photo-2.jpg

This sweet girl has been under the weather this week. Last night I was holding her up in the bath tub trying to cool her down… the water rushed slowly over her hair, down her cheeks, inching towards her toes.

Her eyes were closed. Such a tiny body, so exhausted.

As I held her and talked to her, I couldn’t help but think of all the litttle ones in the world battling serious illnesses. Little bodies fighting off big diseases. Mommies begging for their tiny ones to be healed. How for some, serious illness is the norm.

It’s heartbreaking. I used to ask and beg, why? Why for those families. For those tiny innocent bodies.

Now I just long for heaven. Heaven where there is no hurt, there is no sickness or pain. The curse is gone.

Sweet Ainsleigh in the midst of her bug kept checking on me… “happy? mommy, happy”…. it’s almost painful how sweet and tender they are. Her spirit is the definition of beautiful. From the moment I met this one, she has oozed with the most gracious, tender spirit.

I love you Ains.

Tonight…prayers for those who have hurting babies.

Oh sweet baby girl. Praying she feels better soon. Hang in there sweet momma.

  4. Hoping & praying that she quickly gets over whatever she has! The flu kept us down for awhile & it was so horrible just to watch Gunner be miserable and unlike himself.

Thankful that we live in a country where our sick babies can receive care and medicine readily.

    xo

I think every mom thinks the same way as you do when it comes to little babes feeling sick or hurting!! I have been so afraid of my little lady getting sick and I feel bad because I keep her cooped up in the house so she doesn't get sick!!!
I hope your little one feels better soon!

oh sweet ains, feel better fast little angel!

our girl is sick too. we had to postpone her birthday party this weekend. i was so torn up about it and then i had to mentally smack myself upside the head. we are so blessed. she is so blessed to be so healthy. with her heart scare while she was still in the womb, it is just beyond a thousand miracles we've had three beautiful years together.

    xoxo.

  13. Carey King says:

ah little kids with fever kills me! My baby brother had malaria when he was about 10 and it took them 2 weeks to figure out what was wrong. Everynight he would have a fever of 40 degrees celsius and be vomiting. He lost like 10kg's and turned yellow. eventually my dad insited they test for Maleria and they admitted him to hospital. My older brother and I felt so terrible on the nights where we would force him to sit in a cold bath and his little body would just heat the water up.. I can't imagine what it must be like for kids in the more rural parts of Africa who can't get treatment! Hope you're little girl feels better soon!

  25. Casey 🙂 Posts like this are why I love you friend. I feel the same way, my heart longs for home with our Jesus. A good family friend lost his daughter to a brain tumor less then a year ago (she was barely 21) Seeing that kind of grief and loss is beyond heartbreaking. God's purpose is beyond our understanding, and something I will never know the answers too. I do know that seeing someone experience that reminds you of how precious life is, and how thankful we should be four our health. Wonderful post friend. Love you! xo

Poor, sweet baby. My babies have been under the weather, too. I brought my 3 year old, Hazel in for a simple operation to remove a cyst and while waiting turned to my mom and said "can you imagine, people do this all of the time with really sick babies!" breaks my heart.

God bless your day, my friend.

  29. christina says:
